    6 - Making Cracked Type (Time: 8:02)
    This is cool technique for taking a very normal looking typeface such as Helvetica and imbuing it with some grunge style. This technique uses Create Outlines and the Knife Tool to effectively crack the letterforms into fragments. This demonstration can be used on almost any version of Illustrator.

    7 - Using Live Trace (Time: 10:11)
    Live trace is a new feature in Illustrator CS2, which takes a bitmap image such as a scanned drawing and converts it into vector graphics. This tutorial will introduce to the basic process involved in using Live Trace. This exercise can only be done using Illustrator CS2.

    8 - Creating Logo Type (Time: 12:56)
    This exercise will demonstrate some of Illustrators abilities when it comes to creating logo designs. This exercise uses Create Outlines on type; transform tools and the Pathfinder to re-shape a piece of simple type into a distinctive logotype. This exercise works the same in all the latest versions of the software.

    9 - Learning the Pen Tool (Time: 15:06)
    The Pen Tool is one of the most useful tools and at the same time perhaps the hardest to master. This tutorial breaks down the process into simple easy to use exercises. The grid and snap to grid is used to guide you while taking your first steps toward mastering this very important tool. This exercise works with all versions of the software.

    10 - Creating Gothic Type (Time: 8:05)
    Using a combination of filters and Pathfinder you will learn how to finesse a serif type into a stylized Gothic look. Great for certain band flyers, t-shirt graphics, and the like.

    11 - Making A 3D Globe (Time: 9:37)
    Learn how to wrap a map of the world around a 3D ball to make a 3D globe. This is a great exercise to get you started using the 3D effects in Illustrator. Works with Illustrator CS and CS2.

    12 - Using Columns of Text (Time: 9:30)
    This demo shows you how start working on a page layout design using guides and how to work with columns of text. This works the same in all the more recent versions of Illustrator.

    13 - Filters Vs. Effects (Time: 11:36)
    This video explains the difference between a filter and an effect. This video contains fundamentalstrator information. Understanding what an appearance is helps reveal how Illustrator works at a basic level.

    14 - Using the Grid Tools (Time: 8:11)
    There are two grid tools hidden with the Line Segment Tool; these tools can be used in creative ways that on the surface don't present themselves. This will work with any of the more recent versions of the program.

    15 - Using Live Paint (Time: 7:44)
    Live Paint is a new feature in Illustrator CS2 that puts a whole new slant on the way that you can color your work. If you haven't explored this new feature or you find it mystifying, this video will show you what the tool can help you accomplish. This tutorial only works in Illustrator CS2.

    16 - Navigating in Illustrator (Time: 10:19)
    In this video you will learn how to get around the work area using various methods to zoom in, zoom out and generally find your way around in Illustrator. This video works with any of the more recent versions of the software.

    17 - Making a Package Template (Time: 11:44)
    In this exercise you will learn how to make a die template that could be used in the production of a package design. This exercise includes; reflecting shapes over a center-point as well as constructing shapes accurately using Smart Guides. This exercise can be done in pretty much any version of Illustrator.

    18 - Creating Pie Charts (Time: 6:23)
    Learn how to use Illustrator's Pie Graph Tool in conjunction with the 3D effect to create beautiful information graphics that remains data-driven and yet jumps of the page. You will need Illustrator CS or CS2 to do this exercise.

    19 - Wrapping Text (Time: 6:50)
    Have you ever wondered how to make text flow around an image that you have placed into your layout? Here the process of wrapping text is explained clearly, including wrapping text around an image that has a Clipping Mask. This will work the same in any of the more recent versions of Illustrator.

    20 - Using the Blend Tool (Time: 5:17)
    This video tutorial will explain how to use the Blend Tool to morph shapes into other shapes. Here it is used to create the shape of a TV screen.
